Odessa, TX — Prior to Friday’s non-district meeting between Permian and Southlake Carroll, the Dragon cheerleaders presented a check for over 21 thousand dollars to the Odessa Community Foundation. SLC went on to hand out a 48-7 defeat of the Panthers.

Odessa, TX — It was a day of unity – a day to start the healing process between two communities dealing with tragedy. The 2019 season home opener for Permian left more questions than provide answers in a 49-28 loss to El Paso Franklin on Thursday night.
Permian Suffers Rough Start In DeSoto
DeSoto, TX — The Eagles wasted no time unleashing their potent offense on the Panthers in the season opener at Eagle Stadium. Permian fell behind 21-7 in the first quarter. Mojo was able to match DeSoto the remainder of the game, but came up short 35-14 in the non-district clash.

Team Black Late Surge In Spring Game
ODESSA — A fourth quarter surge by Team Black earned them a 26-21 victory over Team White in the annual Black-White Spring Game on Thursday evening at Ratliff Stadium. Easton Hernandez threw two touchdowns and ran for another to close out three weeks of drills and workouts.
Midland Outlasts Mojo In Barnburner
ODESSA — In a heated and close first half, Permian and Midland High battled to a 21-21 halftime deadlock at Ratliff Stadium. The war continued in the second half and it came down to a blocked extra point for the Bulldogs to pull out a 49-48 decision over the Panthers in Friday night’s District 2-6A clash.
Frenship Rallies In District Opener
LUBBOCK — It was a tell of two halves. Permian jumped out to a 28-10 halftime lead over Frenship at Peoples Bank Stadium on Friday night. The Tigers scored 30 unanswered points in the second half to claim a 40-28 district opening win over the Panthers. The loss is the first of the season for Permian in five outings. Unfortunately, it means the Panthers are 0-1 in District 2-6A.
