When you open the game with a little trickery that nets a 53-yard touchdown, you know things are about to go your way. The ensuing possession watched Tascosa mount a 13-play, 75-yard scoring drive that would knot the contest at 7-7. The two teams would exchange punts to fill the remainder of the first quarter.
Vickers would find the endzone on a two-yard run to open the second stanza. It would cap-off a 9-play, 79-yard effort to extend the lead to 14-7. From there the Mojo Defense took over the game. The Panthers would convert a Rebel fumble into more points when Mark Herrera bulled his way across the goaline two plays later.
