El Paso, TX – JaQuan Richardson accounted for five touchdowns in the Class 6A Bi-District game between Permian and El Paso Franklin on Friday evening. The Panthers advance to the Area Round of the state playoffs with a 56-28 victory at Cougar Stadium.
Permian Rolls Past El Paso Franklin
Odessa, TX — Friday night’s Revenge at Ratliff featured El Paso Franklin and Permian. The first meeting between the two teams ended in a 49-28 non-district win for the Cougars. This time around, the Panthers flipped the script and rambled to a 48-13 Bi-District victory in Class 6A Division I.

While Friday night will kickoff the opening round of the 2019 Class 6A Division I state playoffs, it will be the second meeting between El Paso Franklin and Permian this season. Southlake Carroll at Permian
Last year’s slugfest between Permian and Southlake Carroll drew attention from Permian Basin and Metroplex high school football fans alike. A fourth quarter rally by the Panthers came up four points short in the 24-20 Mojo loss at Dragon Stadium. Mojo Wins Catfight Over Franklin Cougars
EL PASO — After battling to a 14-14 tie at halftime, Permian put the Franklin Cougars away in the second half to cruise to a 43-27 victory. The Panthers improve to 1-1 for the year after the non-district win on Friday night at Franklin Stadium.
