Odessa Permian 1988 Roster
The 1988 Permian Panthers finished with a 5-1 record (12-3 overall) and were District Champions. Mojo made it to the State Semifinals, where the playoff run would come to an end with a 14-9 loss to Dallas Carter at Royal Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. Second Verse Same As First
Irving, TX — For the second straight year, Plano stood in the way of Permian playing for the Class 4A State Championship. In 1977, the Wildcats knocked the Panthers out of the playoffs in the Semifinal Round, 3-0. The difference of a field goal again halted a Mojo State Final appearance in the 6-3 loss at Texas Stadium on Saturday.
Season Ends On Lone Field Goal
Lubbock, TX — Permian entered the contest undefeated at 13-0. The Panthers finished the game leading every statistical category. However, a Plano first quarter field goal was good enough to claim a 3-0 win in the Class 4A State Semifinal game at Jones Stadium.
