ODESSA — Three first half Permian turnovers led to El Paso Eastwood taking a 28-14 halftime lead in the home opener for the Panthers. In the second half, Mojo slapped 42 points on the Troopers to claim a 56-34 victory on Friday night in Ratliff Stadium.
Odessa Permian 1988 Roster
The 1988 Permian Panthers finished with a 5-1 record (12-3 overall) and were District Champions. Mojo made it to the State Semifinals, where the playoff run would come to an end with a 14-9 loss to Dallas Carter at Royal Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.
