The varsity will be playing at McCanlies Field at noon on Saturday, while both Permian JV teams will be playing in Hobbs against their JV at 2pm and 4pm.

I'm about to post more on the baseball site, but in a summary of good and bads...
Hobbs scored two of their three runs in the first inning, and the other in the third.  Not alot not to be pleased with on the defense- small things that can be fixed, but Permian did a real good job out in the field with their gloves.  The nemesis after one scrimmage is picking better pitches and SWINGING THE BAT.  At as far as bunts... put it on the ground and not in the air back to the pitcher.

If the kids will buy into the direction Villa is trying to take them, they're going to enjoy the season more and the district will recognize ol' Mojo has got a pretty salty baseball program in the works.  The times the coaches tightened in the reins, I saw some very aggressive signal-calling and strategy going on.  Tuesday will be the next check point against Midland Christian.
